The Celtic Horizon

The Celtic Horizon is a large roro cruiseferry that is currently owned by Levantina Transporti, however operated by Celtic Link Ferries. She was built in 2006 by Cantiere Navale Visentini as the Cartour Beta where she was, upon completion, chartered to Caronte and Tourist, operating on the Salerno-Messina route. She remained on this route for five years, until in 2011, she was replaced by the Cartour Delta, a brand new ship built only the previous year. The ship was transferred to Grandi Navi Veloci briefly until being transferred to Celtic Link Ferries later in 2011, replacing the Norman Voyager, which was chartered from LD Lines in 2009. She was renamed as the Celtic Horizon, however it wasn't until later when the 'Celtic Horizon' name was painted on the vessel's funnel. She currently operates on the route tha links Rosslare with Cherbourg. The Celtic Horizon has three sister ships, the Stena Lagan, the Stena Mersey and the Cartour Gamma. Her current port of registry is Bari, Italy.
