1995 and completed in February 1997. She currently serves the route that links Pembroke with Rosslare. She has a sister ship called the Stena Jutlandica, owned by Stena Line. The Isle of Inishmore is named after the largest of the Arann Islands, Inishmore. The Isle of Inishmore used to sail between Holyhead and Dublin, replacing the smaller Isle of Innisfree, until the MV Ulysses replaced the Inishmore herself. She was then transferred to the Pembroke-Rosslare route, once again replacing the Isle of Innisfree. She is the second Irish Ferries vessel to adopt the name Isle of Inishmore, the first being sold to C.T.M.A. In 1997. The Isle of Inishmore's current port of registry is Limassol, Cyprus.

Trivia[]

  • On 27/09/2011, the Isle of Inishmore made a cameo appearance on the British television programme The One Show, however the 'Irish Ferries' name was missing from the side of her hull, leaving a white space on her hull. It was probably removed using editing to prevent free advertising.
