The Pride of Dover

The Pride of Dover is a ferry that was owned and operated by the British ferry company P&O Ferries. She was built in 1987 by Schichau Unterwesser AG, Germany, along with her sister ship, the Pride of Calais for P&O's predecessor Townsend Thoresen, but was repainted in P&O livery later that year, after the Zeebrugge Disaster. She served on the route that links Dover with Calais, until she was retired in 2010. She was replaced in 2011 by the newly built Spirit of Britain and her sister ship which is currently under construction, the Spirit of France, will replace the Pride of Calais in Autumn 2011.
