SeaFrance was a ferry company based in Calais, France. The company provides services between Dover, England and France, Calais. The company was formed in 1996 after Sealink became defunct in 1995. The company is entirely owned by SNCF. The company had three passenger vessels operating for the company. They are the Rodin, the Berlioz and the Molière, all of which, operated between Dover and Calais. The company also owned and operated a freight ferry, the SeaFrance Nord Pas-de-Calais, which also operated between Dover and Calais. SeaFrance itself went into liquidation on January 9 2012, with the loss of approximately 880 jobs. The future of the vessels is currently unknown.
