The Stena Carisma

The Stena Carisma is the only HSS 900 class vessel that is currently owned and operated by the Swedish ferry company Stena Line. She was built in 1997 by Westamarin West Bygg in Norway for the company where she entered service on the route that links Frederikshavn with Göteborg. She is the first of what was supposed to be two sister ships but due to a lack of funds, her sister ship could not be built. She is not to be confused with the larger HSS 1500 class catamaran ferries. The Stena Carisma has the ability to accommodate 900 (A hint for the name of the class of boat) passengers and can carry 210 vehicles. She has a gross tonnage of 8,630 GT. The Stena Carisma has a high speed of nearly 40 knots. Her current port of registry is Göteborg.
