The Stena Germanica

The Stena Gemanica is a large cruiseferry that is owned and operated by the ferry company, Stena Line. She was built in 2001 at the Astilleros Españoles shipyard for the company as the Stena Hollandica and was placed on the Harwich-Hoek van Holland route. When the Stena Discovery was withdrawn from service in 2007, the Stena Germanica was extended to increase capacity. In May 2010, she was replaced on the Harwich-Hoek van Holland route by the new Stena Hollandica. She was renamed when the new ship came into service as the Stena Germanica III and later the Stena Germanica and moved to the route linking Gothenburg with Kiel. She has three sister ships, the Finnclipper, the Finneagle and the Finnfellow which are all currently in service with Finnlines. Her current port of registry is Göteborg, Sweden.
