The Stena Partner

The Stena Partner is a freight vessel owned by the ferry company Stena Line. She was built in 1978 by Hyundai H.I., South Korea as the Alpha Enterprise for Stena Rederi, a subsidary of Stena Line. She was renamed as the Syria in 1979 and began service with Hellas Ferries, until she began service with Townsend Thoresen European Ferries in 1982. She was transferred to P&O European Ferries in 1987 as the Cerdic Ferry until she was moved to P&O's North Sea operations. She was sold to Stena Line in 2002, taking the name Freeway, until she was renamed as the Stena Partner. She has seven sister ships, the Diplomat, the Kilmore, the Strada Corsa, the Global Freighter, the Transfer, the Pelagitis and the Global Carrier. She is currently laid up in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina
