The Jaume I

The Jaume I is a high speed catamaran ferry that is currently owned by Eurolineas Maritimas and operated by Balearia. She was built in 1994 by Incat, Tasmania for Stena Sealink and was known as the Stena Sea Lynx II. When Stena took over Sealink operations in 1996, her name was shortened as the Stena Lynx II. In 1998, she was sold to Buquebus but the following year, started operations with Lineas Fred. Olsen, where she was renamed Incat 033. In 2000, she served

under the name Fast Ceuta for Transmediterranea and in 2001, became known as the Thundercat II of Ventouris Lines. Finally, she was sold to Balearia where she was renamed as the Jaume I. She has two sister ships, the Elanora and the Mega Jet. Her current port of registry is Valletta, Malta
