The Normandie Express

The Normandie Express is a high speed catamaran ferry owned by the French ferry company Brittany Ferries. She was built in 2000 at the Incat Yards in Tasmania, Australia for Incat and was named Incat Tasmania. She was chartered to the Australian Trade Commision for use as a floating conference centre for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. She was again chartered to Interislander Line for the service between Wellington and Picton. She was renamed as The Lynx for this service. She was bought in 2005 by Brittany Ferries and was renamed the Normandie Express. She was placed on the Portsmouth-Cherbourg and the Portsmouth-Caen routes. Her current port of registry is Caen, France.
