The Stena Seafarer
The ANT 2 is a roro ferry that was owned and operated by the ferry company Stena Line. She was built in 1975 by JJ Siestas, Germany for the company as the Union Melbourne. She sailed between Fleetwood and Larne. She has two other sister ships, the Anna Marine and the ANT 1. She is different to her sister ships as she is specifically designed to carry passengers, whereas her two sister ships were built to carry more freight than passengers. Her current port of registry is Hamilton, Bermuda. In 2010 Stena Line announced that the Larne - Fleetwood route would be closed due to not making enough money. The ferry's last day in service was December 24th 2010 and has been laid up in Belfast since May 2011.
