The Spirit of Britain

The Spirit of Britain is the first of two brand new cross-channel ferries that are both owned and operated by the British ferry company P&O Ferries. She was built in January 2011 by STX Europe Rauma, Finland for the company. She was to be named as the Olympic Spirit, but due to copyright laws, she had to be renamed as the Spirit of Britain. She and her sister ship, the Spirit of France, will replace the existing Pride of Dover and the Pride of Calais on the Dover-Calais route. Her current port of registry is Dover, UK.
