The Stena Hollandica is the first of two new superferries that are owned and operated by the ferry company Stena Line. She was built in 2010 at the Waden Yards MTW GmbH in Germany for the Stena subsidary Stena Rederi Ab. She has a younger sister ship, the newly built Stena Britannica. She and her sister ship are by far the biggest ferries ever built for the company at a gross tonnage of over 60,000 GRT. She has the ability to accommodate 1,200 passngers and provides 5,500 lanemetres. She was placed on the route that links Harwich with Hoek van Holland. Her current port of registry is Hoek van Holland, The Netherlands.
