The Stena Scanrail

The Stena Scanrail is a ferry that is owned and operated by the Swedish ferry company Stena Line . She was built in 1973 by A. Vuyk & Zonens, The Netherlands as the Stena Seatrader for the company until later that year, she was renamed as the Seatrader and entered service with Marine Atlantic. She became the Bahjah in 1976 for Bahjah Navigation, until 1982 when she re-entered service with Stena Line as the Stena Searider . She was chartered to Vognmandsruten where she was again renamed, this time as the Trucker. In 1987, she was sold back to Stena Line and was renamed as the Stena Scanrail where she was placed on the route linking Frederikshavn with Göteborg. She has two sister ships, the Birlik 1 and the Island Trader . Her current port of registry is Göteborg, Sweden
