The Clansman is a roro ferry that is currently owned and operated by the Scottish ferry company Caledonian MacBrayne. She was built in 1998 by Appledore Shipbuilders Ltd in Devon for the company where she was christened and placed on the route that links Oban with Tiree and Coll, and Oban with Lochboisdale, replacing the earlier Lord of the Isles. She is the second largest ferry in the fleet, surpassed only by the older Isle of Lewis. Her facilities include several lounges, a cafe, a bar area, a shop, an observation lounge and an outer deck. She has broken down twice, once in 2010 and again later that year. She has a younger sister ship, the Hebrides. She can accommodate 640 passengers and can carry 90 cars. Her current port of registry is Glasgow, United Kingdom.
