The Howe Sound Queen

The Howe Sound Queen is an unclassed ferry that currently operates for the Canadian ferry company, BC Ferries. She was built in 1964 at the Marine Industries Ltd, Quebec as the Napoleon L. She was purchased by BC Ferries where she was renamed as the Howe Sound Queen. She entered service on the Bowen Island-Horseshoe Bay route. Due to her poor handling in rough weather, she was moved to the route that links Vesuvius and Crofton. In 2008, she was extended and refitted to improve her amenities and to extend her life.
