The Mayne Queen

The Mayne Queen is the second of the three Powell River Class ferries that is owned and opeated by the Canadian ferry company, BC Ferries. She was built in 1965 by the Victoria Machinery Depot for the company and was placed on the route linking Swartz Bay with the Outer Gulf Islands. She was extended in 1979, allowing a capacity of an extra 70 vehicles. In 1995, she hit the dock at Snug Cove. Twelve boats were damaged and one of the ferries propellors were damaged in the incident. {{stub}
