The Queen of Coquitlam

The Queen of Coquitlam is a C Class ferry owned by the ferry company BC Ferries. She was built in 1976 and first operated on the Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay route. She has four other sister ships, the Queen of Surrey, the Queen of Oak Bay, the Queen of Alberni and the Queen of Cowichan. In 1980, she tipped onto her side in drydock during a maintenance layover, causing about $3 million in damages. Since she was repaired, she has mainly served as a replacement vessel for other vessels that are temporarily out of action and serves on the Horseshoe Bay-Langdale route
