The MV Stormont is a 22.98 m diesel tug used by the Detroit-Windsor Truck Ferry to push a dumb barge ferry carrying trucks across the Detroit River between Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Detroit, Michigan, USA. The tug was built by the Canadian Dredge and Dock Co. Ltd. in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, in 1953. Its port of registry is Ottawa, and it has a maximum speed is 11.0 knots.
Trucks carried by the ferry are mostly those with hazardous materials not allowed to cross between the two cities using the Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. It is also used by trucks to avoid congestion delays at the other border crossings. It crosses five times each way per day, and the trip takes approximately 20 minutes.
